Clarkson executes divisive song

Kelly Clarkson deformed down to her record bosses on Friday - after performing the new single she's dubbed a "rip off" of Beyonce's hit Halo at a free show in New York.

Clarkson claims songwriter/producer Ryan Tedder sent her the ballad Already Gone without telling her he'd already offered it to Beyonce.

Sony Music managerial overlooked Clarkson's pleas not to let go the track because it sounded too much like Beyonce's Halo - prompting her to publicly criticise Tedder and her bosses at the label.

But the Since U Been Gone singer has consented to promote the tune, which she performed at a free concert on US TV show Good Morning America, drawing thousands of fans to New York City's Central Park.

The singer explained earlier this week, "In the end, they're releasing it without my consent. It sucks, but it's one of those things I have no control over. I already made my album. At this point, the record company can do whatever they want with it. It's kind of a s**tty situation, but... you know, you learn."

We just saw Grace Jones Is a Miser

Here is the creative Lady GaGa, 61-year-old Grace Jones (left), doing her thing at a concert in NYC Thursday night -- and the Heat Miser (right), from the 1974 Christmas classic "The Year Without a Santa Claus." Only one of them slept with James Bond.
