Pregnant Natalie Portman has turned to an old pet to craft her maternity wear for awards season – she showed off her baby bump on the Oscars red carpet Sunday night with a purple gown by Rodarte, who also intended costumes for Black Swan .

The actress was selected for Best Actress , was glowing in her off-the-shoulder gown with pleats falling down the middle of her growing belly . She wore matching Tiffany earrings and sported flushed cheeks as she worked the carpet.But, she told ABC’s Robin Roberts, all that glamour isn’t her final joy. “Staying at home with cluttered hair in sweats … is the biggest luxury of all,” she said.

Penelope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem are new parents by day, and now they’re formally a glamorous Hollywood by night as they walked their first red carpet – ever – as mom and dad, at the Oscars Sunday night.

Cruz, 36, and Bardem, 41 and selected as Best Actor for his role in Biutiful, wowed the fans lining the red carpet on their way into the Kodak Theatre.

Cruz, who just gave birth to a baby boy five weeks ago, exposed her rocking post-baby body, cloaking herself in a shiny, full-length red dress by L’Wren Scott that showed a trim tummy and inflectional ample cleavage. As she smiled shyly as cameras flashed around them, Bardem kept a firm hold of her hand.

The pair gently married last July and makes a point of keeping their relationship as private as potential. Except, it seems, at the year’s biggest awards show.

Photographer Bob Berg: Why Pregnancy Pictures are essential

 Demi Moore did it. Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera went for it, too. So, why not get belly pictures taken too?

Photographer Bob Berg , of Bellies by Bob maternity and newborn photography, thinks every mom-to-be should. “It’s important for women to document this time,” “You change so strongly, and I really believe there is a glow. It’s just the most beautiful moment.”

Berg, who got his start as a fine artist in the 1970s, moved toward the world of maternity shots even before Moore’s iconic Vanity Fair cover. “She took it from daring to beautiful,” he says. “And I was very much enamored with the female form in pregnancy.”

For Berg, a shoot involves hair, makeup, and styling — “the whole Hollywood ,” he says — but it can be possible to do your own belly shots at home, too, by following his advice:

Wear loose clothing- -To avoid putting marks on your skin, consider a wrap or other elastic-free garment. “You’re not naked, but at the same time, there’s a lot of skin showing,” Berg says.

Find your light-- “When I see people taking pictures with their phone, pointing everyone into the sun with their faces all dark, it irks me,” he says, laughing. “You need a bounce pad at least!” For those of us who aren’t so artistically inclined, consider buying some white cardboard to reflect the light.

Get dolled up- - Aside from doing your hair and makeup, Berg dares pregnant mamas to try heels — if you’re comfortable doing so. “They’re the great equalizer to all women,” he shares.

Pick a perfect backdrop- - Though many of Berg’s shots happen in scenic California; you can make your yard or neighborhood your own photo studio by picking a clean, clutter-free spot for your shots. He even encourages women on bed rest to pose for pictures, too. “Make sure you still celebrate what you’ve done,” he says.

Relax- - “Don’t be afraid, be comfortable,” Berg says. “Celebrate the beautiful. This is something a woman is reaching for, wishing and being. It’s incredible.”

Bradbury, who endures from endometriosis – a situation which can cause fertility problems – had feared she might never become a mother. News that she was pregnant was a “bit of a miracle ”, she said.

The Country file host and her partner, Irish property developer Gerard Cunningham, 52, have decided to wait until the baby is born to find out its sex. “We didn’t think it would be possible and the pregnancy has been a wonderful surprise for both of us,” she said.” I have endometriosis and honestly wasn’t sure if I would ever realize my ambition to be a mum so to fall pregnant feels like a bit of a miracle.” We are both pleased and our families are very happy.”

The baby is due in August. Bradbury has said she will continue to work and the family home will be in west London. Endometriosis is a common condition in which small pieces of the womb lining are found outside the womb. The condition commonly causes pain in the lower abdomen, pelvis or lower back.

Olympic skater Tonya Harding as she welcomes a 'healthy and happy' son

U.S. Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding has become a mother for the first time.

The 40-year-old and her husband of a year, Joseph Price, welcomed a baby boy last Saturday in a Washington State hospital. 'Everybody's healthy and happy,' her friend Don Horn said.

'She's always wanted a baby;' Horn told the Oregonian newspaper. ‘She was told she could never have a child ... and guess what? It really is a miracle and she really is very happy.’ The baby was born by Caesarian section and Harding is recovering from the operation in hospital. The couple only revealed that they were expecting a couple of weeks ago. Tonya rose to fame after winning the U.S. figure skating championship in 1991.But she is best known for the attack on rival skater Nancy Kerrigan in 1994.

She married Joseph last year. Joseph, 42, is a Portland area repair man, had a brief stint as a boxer before becoming a regular commentator on U.S. cable channel truTV’s popular program The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest.
